Time for the next round of Fandom Tea Blends Giveaways! I feel like I’m jumping around a bit now, but I just don’t know what the popularity rankings are going to be each week anymore, lol! BUT I just brewed a big batch of this as iced tea and loved it so much I knew I wanted to make The Mind and The Heart the next giveaway! Read below for more reviews/information on the tea, and how to win your own bag of it, as well as an ingenuiTEA tea pot!

THE MIND AND THE HEART BLEND: ‘Spicy and Jammy’ with a ‘buzzy mouthfeel’. Stir a spoonful of honey into this this subtly fruity tea for a surprisingly sweet pairing. (irish breakfast, berry blues, rooibos vanilla chai)
MY REVIEW OF IT: “THE FRUITIEST OF SMELLS IN THE BAG. Ahaha so fruity and jammy and now I’m scared. Shhh. Okay. Wow. This actually REALLY nice once steeped and not as aggressively fruity as I was expecting. It is a bit tart, but there’s still notes of vanilla and spice. A swirl of honey makes it very nice and floral. It’s a very mild tea, and I don’t know if it quite fits John and Sherlock but it IS very tasty.”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
“This is the perfect blend between Sherlock and Watson. You have the strong dark flavor from the Irish Breakfast but then a more calming flavor from the chai. It is just the best every day tea, and I can’t get enough of it!” -Ilana B.
“A very warm, fireside type of tea. The smell in the bag was a bit overwhelmingly vanilla, but when it was brewed it mellowed out considerably. The spice of the vanilla chai and Irish breakfast definitely came out strongest, but I could just taste the sweet of the berries.”-Jennifer R.
” The smell of this blend is incredible. I made this up for myself when I was in a particularly good mood and it just made the day even brighter. The berry flavour is full and settles in your mouth heavily, but the earl smooths it out and gives it a nice taste that makes you sigh. It’s very nice with just a dash of sugar and cream, and it’s equally wonderful iced.”-Templeton B.
“Opening the bag smells like what I imagine it would to step into 221B Baker Street. There’s a great aroma of berries and sweetness, but with an underlying spice and just a touch of who KNOWS what. Tastes amazing after steeping for about a minute and a half, with neither the dark spices nor bright berry flavor outweighing the other. Equally as delicious with milk in it, and letting it cool produces yet another amazing flavor. My favorite way to have it is with just a little bit of fruity honey. Definitely one I’ll be buying again, once I’m out. :)
“This blend really encompasses the relationship that is Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. The irish breakfast is deep and reminds you of home, while the chai adds a bit of spice and the berry, a bit of sweet into the entire relationship. It’s wonderfully perfect, warmed or iced, and it’s something I’m going to enjoy with summer coming up.“-Lana R.

Time for the next round of Fandom Tea Blends Giveaways! This week’s tea blend was hard to pick, but I just couldn’t resist doing Sherlock’s any longer *w*! Read below for more reviews/information on the tea, and how to win your own bag of it, as well as an ingenuiTEA tea pot!

THE SHERLOCK BLEND: All at once exotic and mysterious and perhaps a little bit insane, with a lingering hint of smoke. (lapsang souchong, assam melody, oriental spice)
MY REVIEW OF IT: “It smells amazing. I wanted to stick my whole head in the bag. I was actually afraid I had overdone it with the Oriental Spice tea since that’s pretty much all I could smell in the bag. However, once I brewed it, BAM! So smokey. Definitely a very smokey tea, but not nearly as strong as a Lapsang by itself, and once the smokey taste fades you really start to taste the spice again. It’s awesome. I tried it first without adding anything, but there are very few teas I can drink plain. I added a splash of milk and a spoonful of sugar and it was perfect *w*”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
“Dark, smoky, and spicy is the best way to describe this tea. It smells extremely smoky in the bag (almost reminiscent of barbecue sauce), but it mellows out a bit when steeped. You can definitely taste the smoke, but it is balanced nicely by the spice.”-Michelle T.
“Best of these blends I’ve tried so far. If there’s one tea that can stand up to a spices, Lapsang Souchong is probably it. The assam melody likely bolsters it as well, and seems to have helped with what usually throws off people I try to introduce to Lapsang: they smell it, and it reminds them of barbecue sauce—not a problem with this blend. It’s perfect: dark, smooth, smoky, and all of those other lovely things, with not-overpowering spice. Perfection.”-Katrina W.
” This is actually a really warming blend, in my opinion. The smokey aroma reminds me of a dimly lit room and a cigar or cigarette and the warm and spicy flavor soothe me to my core.”-Alicia B.
“Dark, spicy and sensually smoky. I was hesitant at first, but after a spoonful of sugar, I melted right in.”-Abigail L.
“It’s difficult to describe. A hint of…danger? I sound silly, but it really is an intriguing blend. Like you have to drink more to figure it out. All in all, a perfect blend for Sherlock.“-Kayla B.

Thanks to the overwhelming response to the Sherlock Tea Give Away (which ended a few days ago, you can stop reblogging it now <3), Adagio and I have decided to help make sure even MORE people have a chance to try some of the fandom tea blends I’ve made <3
Not only that, but Adagio is going a step further and sending each weeks winner one of their IngenuiTEA tea brewers along with the tea! These things are AWESOME, especially if you’re new to loose leaf tea and don’t have much brewing equipment. You can find out more about the IngenuiTEA pot at this link.
So now, once a week, I’ll be posting a review of a different tea blend, and you just have to reblog the post for a chance to win a whole bag of the tea being reviewed! So, without further a do, the first tea blend is also the most popular!

THE WATSON BLEND: Queen and Country traditionalist, but still recounting his days in Afghanistan drinking green tea, John Watson prefers his tea with a bit of cream, no sugar, and just a little warm from a touch of cinnamon. (irish breakfast, cinnamon, earl grey green)
MY REVIEW OF IT: “In the bag, it smells wonderful. You get that strong, warm cinnamon scent first, then you realize there’s some earl grey in there too and I melt just a little bit because it’s just such a comforting smell. Warm and familiar and calming. The cinnamon smell is still strong in the cup, and kind of reminds me of red hot candies LOL. And oh man. This tea is naturally really nice and sweet without any added sugar. The cinnamon continues to be be dominant, but you definitely get the earl grey in there with the sweet orange tones. This tea is absolutely lovely and definitely reminds me of John. I think it’s earned its ranking.”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
“I always want to bury my face in the bag whenever I open this tea — it smells amazing, very cinnamon-y!”-Caitlyn O.
“Incredibly comforting, with the warm cinnamon to add a bit of kick. Delicious.”-Ariel S.
” Like being tucked into a cuddly jumper and curled up on the sofa.”-Crystal M.
“This tea feels like your favourite sweater on a cool day. The cinnamon hits you right down to your toes.”-Arizona D.
“Perfect for an adorably BAMF, made of kittens, ex-army doctor.“-Sheri L.
